Since I am a die-hard beef burger lover, today I am going to show you’ll to make the simplest beef burgers. Enjoy making them and do let us know what you feel about the recipe.
(Serves 1) Be Selfish 😀
250 grams beef mince
1 Garlic pod
Cream Cheese (or whichever you can get your hands on, they all work)
Herbs of your choice
Wash the mince and leave it to strain.
Finely Chop an Onion and 3 Pods of Garlic.
Heat a non-stick pan. Add a bit of oil. I used natural coconut oil to fry since it is way healthier than most other oils and it is easily available to me.
Add the chopped onion and garlic to the pan and fry until brown.
In a Bowl
Take the Strained mince
Add salt according to taste. I used 1tsp. of salt.
Add the fried onion and garlic along with that some oregano, pepper.
I used a good amount of barbecue sauce to marinade my mince since i am a fan of barbecue sauce. American Garden is a good choice of barbecue sauce if you’re looking to buy one.
Add a bit of egg (beaten). Egg is an important combining agent. It will help hold your mince together and not break apart while frying.
If you feel anything is missing you’ll can add . I strongly feel this is the easiest recipe which gets out the true taste of your meat.
Mix the mince thoroughly with all the ingredients in the bowl.
Make a ball of the mince and place it on a cutting board. Flatten the mince making a perfect circle.
Please note to keep the height of the patty at least 2 to 2 and a half inches.
Make a volcano like shape in the patty. (Look at pictures for reference)
Make sure not to make the patty hole through and through or you could have leakage of cheese.
Add cheese to the empty part of the patty. You could use any cheese that you like, i used cream cheese and it was heaven.
Cover the burger with the mince you removed to make the volcano shape.
Transfer the patty onto a plate and cover with a cling film.
Refrigerate for 30 minutes
After 30 minutes pre-heat a non-stick pan.
Add oil. I used natural coconut oil again and the results were amazing.
Once the oil is hot, add the patty.
Keep the flame on slow fire. It will allow your patty to cook well
Cover the pan while frying the patty. It will cook faster.
Fry the patty until you feel your meat is well cooked. The patty should take approximately 10-15 minutes to cook.
Voila you now have a ready to eat beef patty stuffed with cheese……I’m already drooling here
Cut burger bread
Apply barbecue sauce or any sauce you like on the bun.
Place lettuce, onion rings, tomatoes, pickled cucumber and a slice of cheese on the Patty. Some onion
rings could go under the patty too.
Cover the bun and go feast on your amazing Beef-Cheese Burger
